About Barbara

Barbara Brannen is a Human Resources Executive with over 30 years of experience.

Currently, her business, The Brannen Suite and Playmore, LLC, allow her to work with organizations as a Situational Specialist, Speaker and Facilitator, organize Masterminds of Leadership internally in organizations and Coach Executives.

She has served as Vice-President and a member of the executive team for such organizations as Qwest Communications, Rose Medical Center, AON/Innovative Services of America and the University of Denver. Barbara has also provided services for Dingo Maintenance Systems, Summit Staffing, Photobucket, Trout Mobile, Hiwan Country Club, Saunders Construction, Cochlear, MarkWest Energy, KPA, Chuck Latham Associates, Clear Vision Laser Centers, Wispertel, Milgard Manufacturing, Women in Government, State Farm Insurance, Coors, The Environmental Protection Agency, and many more satisfied clients.

Barbara has been recognized as the Human Resource Professional of the Year in 1990 by the Colorado Human Resources Association and was named as an Outstanding Woman in Business in Human Resources for 2002 by the Denver Business Journal. Barbara passed the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 1990.

Barbara has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from Niagara University in New York, as well as graduate studies at the University of Denver.

Barbara’s books include, Office Peace – Your Guide to a More Respectful and Productive Work Environment and the book, The Gift of Play. Her newest book is due out in 2009, “Putting the ‘Human’ Back in Human Resources.”  Barbara is a member of the National Speakers Association.
